Zak Hylerstedt Stomberg

I got my first American Staffordshire Terrier in 2006, and since then the breed has been a central part of my life. Over the years I have traveled to several countries to meet breeders, learn from their experiences, and deepen my understanding of the Amstaff. I’ve spent countless hours researching the history of the breed, genetics, pedigrees, and bloodlines — knowledge that fuels my work with Amstaff Legacy.

My professional background spans more than 20 years in sales, including 10 years within finance and over 5 years working with enterprise customers. This experience has sharpened my ability to build strong relationships and manage complex projects, skills that I now channel into preserving and sharing knowledge about the breed.

Outside of Amstaff Legacy, I am a passionate photographer, with a particular focus on portraits and travel photography. Through the camera, I aim to capture not just the dogs themselves, but also the people, journeys, and emotions that surround them.

Amstaff Legacy is a project born out of passion: a way to document, connect, and pass on the dedication of breeders and enthusiasts to the next generation. For me, it’s about honoring the past while inspiring the future of this remarkable breed.
